Throw & Tome is a small UK website about making home a cosier place to be, especially if you love to read. We write about warm lighting, reading corners that fit real (often small) UK homes, snug textiles and décor, seasonal reading lists, and gifts for book lovers.

How we write our guides

• We say what we know and how we know it. We don’t invent personal stories, test results or reviews. Where a recommendation is based on product specifications, retailer information or published research rather than hands-on use, we say so.
• We use AI tools to help us research and draft. Every article is fact-checked and edited before it’s published, and we correct mistakes when we find them.
• We check prices and availability at the retailer. Prices change often, so we link to the retailer rather than quoting prices that may be out of date.
• Commission never decides what we include. In future some links will be affiliate links, always clearly marked “AD”. Retailers don’t see or approve our articles. Read our affiliate disclosure.
